 The CPM
device is a machine that exercises
the patient's surgically repaired
joint, commonly the knee, to increase
flexibility.
Medicare
- Assigned. Patients who received
a total knee replacement and set-up
is within 48 hours of surgery. Rental
is limited to 21 days (3 weeks) following
surgery, during which the device is
used in the patient's home. The 21
days includes days used in the hospital.
Non-assigned if patient fails to qualify
for the assigned coverage.
