Hemi-Wheelchair
with Adjustable Height, Detachable
Arms
The wheelchair has a lower seat than
the standard wheelchair to allow the
patient to propel with the foot. It
is used by patients who cannot propel
a standard height wheelchair. Adjustable
arm height requires an arm height
that is different than that available
using nonadjustable arms and the patient
spends at least 2 hours per day in
the wheelchair. Detachable arms allow
a patient to transfer from-or-to the
wheelchair while in the sitting position.
