Be aware of the potential of
falling because of slippery
surfaces.
Use bath mat in
tub or shower.
Avoid using throw
rugs in the bathroom.
Use the bath seat
to transfer in and out of the
tub if a transfer bench is not
available.
Do not use any
electrical appliances when bathing.
If you purchased
a Grab Bar it must be mounted
into the stud of the wall. A
sheet rock wall or fiberglass
enclosure will not support the
weight of the grab bar when
it is being used for support.
Adjust the bath
seat, tub transfer bench or
toilet safety frames to fit
the height of the appliance
being used.
Fasten the toilet
safety frame and toilet seat
riser securely to the bathroom
toilet facility.
Tub grab bars
cannot be mounted on a fiberglass
tub. Tub damage may occur when
tub grab bar is clamped firmly
on the tub.
