Basic Home Safety
Avoid placing extension cords across walkways.
Do not use throw rugs in the home.
Use ramps with caution.

Wheelchair brakes
Engage the wheel brakes (locks) to prevent the wheelchair from rolling.
The wheel brakes may be adjusted for minimal tire wear.

Foot and Leg Riggings
Use easy side access release to swingaway the foot rest or elevating leg rest.
Foot rest or elevating leg rest may be removable on many models.

Removable arms feature
The wheelchair arm may be removed on some models.
Depress the button on the front lower area of the arm frame and lift.
Removing the arm piece will help you transfer from the wheelchair to the bed or bed to wheelchair.

Wheelchair transfer
Fold up the wheelchair for easy transfer into a vehicle. Stand on the side of the wheelchair and grasp the seat with both hands, pulling up.
Foot rest or elevating leg rest may be removed to lighten the weight of the chair for loading.

Foot and Leg Riggings
Clean upholstery and chair with mild detergent and warm water. Dry thoroughly
It is good preventative maintenance to have Health-E-Quip check the wheel bearings and spoke adjustments periodically. This prevents abnormal wear on the wheelchair.
